Monday, on our way out of Branson, I stopped at a tire store to get all four tires replaced on the 5th Wheel. When we bought the 5th Wheel last September, the owner had just installed brand new tires. The tire size was correct. The specification nameplate on the 5th Wheel specified LT(light truck) and what was installed were ST(special trailer). The ST outside tire diameter is bigger making the gap between the tires on the dual axle only about 1/2 inch. When we took the scenic route from Russellville to Branson with the many tight curves, the 5th wheel would lean into the curve which caused more weight on one side and the tires rubbed. We lost one tire half way through that journey and lucky we had a good spare. With the new LT’s, there is about 1 1/2” gap. It’s been an education!
Mondays’ drive took us to where the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers merge into the Mississippi River in Southeast Missouri . We thought it would be interesting to watch river traffic in this area. But with all the rain and snow melt the rivers were swelled and running fast. Didn’t see any traffic. So we moved on to the “Land between the Lakes National Recreation Area” in Southwest Kentucky.

We then traveled to the furthest reaches of space at the Planetarium & Observatory. It was a hour of learning about meteors, meteorites, comets and celestial objects (laser guided).
