Sheltering in Place Appomattox Va

We were really hoping the Coronavirus wouldn’t change our plans. We made reservations for a two week stay at Paradise Lake Family Campground outside Appomattox Virginia. We weren’t here a week when our wandering lifestyle just abruptly stopped. The governor ordered Virginia’s private campgrounds to stop short term stay (less than 14 days). Public and private campgrounds all over the nation are closing. We checked with the campground and they agreed to allow us an additional month stay. In the meantime, one of our sons and his family offered us a place to stay after our stay here which we gladly accepted.

We are about the only one here.

Staying here we have the place to ourselves with nice walks around the park not to mention it is also very easy to social distance. To occupy our time, cooking has been a favorite past time and since we are so close to the historic Appomattox Court House where the civil war ended there are several trails to hike.
