Reading other travelers blogs, just about all have mentioned Joshua Tree National Park. We decided since we were in the area visiting family that we would spend a day touring the park. We climbed several thousand feet to the entrance but once inside you could tell that you were in the high desert. The vista’s looking down were just magnificent. We were told on a clear day, we would be able to see Mexico but not today with the haze and smog.

Nope I never did!! Did you see all 29 palms?!?
Yes we did. The town has a bunch of murals painted on the long outside wall of stores. We had a list of them and we tried to find them all. The paintings were pretty good.
Neat place. Been there 2 times, Awesome place. 104 degF and felt like 80 degF back home :). Also stopped at Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
Glade to see your progress.
Cris
Cris, Good to see you are keeping up we our travels. We were thinking about taking the Tramway but there was still snow at top. I think it would be in the summer to get cooled off.
