After sitting around the house for the last several months, our wanderlust seems to be insatiable. With winter behind us, it was a no brainer to have some beach time. Denise booked us a week at Pine Knoll Shores, a beach community on a barrier island off the coast of Morehead City, North Carolina. We really miss traveling, the daily adventure of seeing and doing new things. This year we decided to take a travel break, stay home and work on projects, but look out 2019!
We like being active and our stay in Pine Knoll was filled with “Plenty-To-Do” adventures. Plus we had family for the weekend. Our son Dan, Erika and Jace joined us for a fun filled time.
Good beach weather, food and wooden boat show…can ca beat that!
Lot’s of nautical history in this area…Blackbeard is probably the biggest…war of 1812, civil war and WW2 German U’s. I find the early 1800’s period to be the most interesting. Thanks for your comments. Denise say hi.
Sounds like a really sweet visit! Hope to catch up with you sometime and hear of your adventures. Take care friend.

Hi Cris,
Yes, we need to catch up. I’m right in the middle of a remod of our kitchen, when I’m done we’ll have lunch or something…Good to hear from you.
Dave, sold the Dutch Star? Surprised am I. Was it for sale on that new Timberlake Rd lot? Looked just like yours. We hope to hit the road for Alaska in 2020, been studying up. Our next trip is Acadia over the week of the 4th, Tim Hortons here we come.
