We had most of our stuff already loaded into the RV with the plan for an early morning departure. It’s not that far to Virginia Beach, Sandbridge area, 220 miles, but we wanted to get there early to set-up and relax. My truck would not have any of that. My truck is our toad. When it was time to connect the truck to the RV, a low tire indication came on.
Driverside back tire was 5 pounds low. I just wanted pump it back up but I knew that wasn’t the right answer. This is concerning because I did not want to have a flat tire while it was being towed. That could be disastrous. I found the leak and installed a repair plug and off I went for a test run. The fix held and now we are ready for departure.
Left our driveway about an hour later than planned. It was an easy drive to Sandbridge. It took us about 30 minutes to set-up and find a relaxing chair. This is our fourth time coming here and we always have enjoyed the view.
Denise found a restaurant on the internet not to far away that struck her interest. It was chef owned and had good ratings. We gave Blue Seafood and Spirits a try. It was casual but with a touch of chef’ism. (professional presentations). We were their first customer for the day and the chef presented us samples of his crab meat salad and sweat potato biscuits with apricot butter. We got to know Chef Charles and found out he is a RV’er. He restored a 1974 Airstream that he found in a junk yard for $300.
The food was excellent and I tried a local Back Bay Brewery craft beer and it was excellent. It was a good experience until …….I got up to leave and ……. my keys that are on a D-Ring connected to my belt buckle whipped around hit my empty beer glass and slung it to the hard sounding floor. It went into a gazillion pieces. By now there was a few customers seated. I had everyone’s full attention. I’m red faced and apologizing. The waiter tells me “this happens all the time”. I hope they don’t remember me because I definitely would like to come back here again.
We are staying at Outdoor Resorts Virginia Beach VA.
