Yuma is just a few miles away from the Mexican border and California is just on the outside edge of town. This is a good place for warm weather and reasonable prices before entering California. We are treating ourselves for a week at a RV resort. We are staying at The Palms. It’s a 55+ RV community that has many planned activities. This is a week for us to catch our breath, relax and enjoy the warm sun.
So far we have enjoyed a Motown Concert, Car Show, Live Music and a Burger Bash all at the resort. There is so much to do that the only reason to leave is to get groceries. I particularly like their billiard and exercise room.
All sites have owners and they rent out their spot when they are not using it. Many of the owners invested in elaborate casitas. They are an extension of their RV with a bedroom, kitchen and living area. Several of the sites are on the market. We toured the open houses and it was fun to dream.
So for the next few days, we will be living it up!
